what should i buy for wildlife photography?

this is going to be my first time in dslr but ive using a olympus ultra zoom and i know a lot about iso , whita balance , shutter speed , etc.... but the question for me is what should i buy , there you have my 2 opcions

opcion 1 :
-nikon d200 (used)
-mb 200
-sb400
-70-300mm VR
plus batteries , bag , memory cardss and all that stuff

opcion 2:
-canon 40d (used)
-70-200mm F4 (no is)
plus batteries , bag , memory cardss and all that stuff

so , what should i buy..?

My choice for wildlife would be the D200 with the 70-300 VR lens. I have that lens and can vouch for it. The 300mm range is important and the VR is the deal maker for me.
