I have comcast cable. Some channels are sharp and clear and some very static and poor picture.?

Will an indoor antenna help with better reception?

No.

An outdoor antenna will only get you local channels, and most likely give you worst reception. I think the problem might be with your tv or your using comcast without a cable box. Have a technician come to your house to determine your problem. It could also be the cable connection itself. Maybe its not grounded or its coming loose somewhere.
