What type of motor is generally used to run a computer case fan?

Could anybody that deals with computers a lot tell me what type of motor is most popular for computer case fans?

I have seen DC brushless on a couple different computers, but I want to know if that is generally the case. Also, if you could give me a reason why a certain type of motor is used, that would be a bonus.

DC brushless is the most common type used. It is quiet, and has no tendencies to produce noise signals that could interfere with the computer's operation.
