Recover Deleted Photos From a Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera
The Nikon Coolpix digital camera is one of the most powerful compact cameras available. It comes in different colors and is the perfect camera to take to the beach or keep in your bag at all times. Unfortunately, this little device is prone to losing photos on occasion, as the fragile body allows for interruptions in the data stream. Fortunately, most photos that are accidentally lost, formatted, or deleted on the Nikon Coolpix can easily be recovered.
Right after you notice that your photos are missing from your Coolpix camera, immediately turn off your camera and remove the SD card that you have been using. If you continue to take photos on a digital camera memory card that has experienced data loss, you are risking writing over the pictures that you are trying to recover. If you have successfully connected your SD card to your computer then you can look for good photo recovery software to restore your lost photos.
This guide uses Odboso Photo Retrieval, but there are many other good photo recovery programs including Disk Doctors for Windows and Mac, and Wondershare Photo Recovery. First download the demo of Odboso Photo Retrieval and install it to your computer. Now, either through your camera's USB connection or your computer's card reader, connect your SD card to your computer. Once your system detects the device, run the photo recovery software and scan the SD card.
Photo Retrieval will show you a preview of the images that you will want to recover. It will also recover video and music files that you have stored on the SD card. Simply follow the on-screen guide; the whole process is very simple for any user.
In some cases, the SD card will not be recognized by the PC. In this case, it is recommended that you use a USB card reader rather than the camera to connect to the PC. If it is still undetected, try lightly cleaning the device with a microfiber lens cloth.

Where can i get a nikon coolpix camera fixed?
I have a coolpix camera and the lens is off track. (so to speak)
It looks like someone sat on it while the lens was open and now it is bent and wont go back in.
When you turn it on it just says lens error...
Where is a good place i can get it fixed...?? (assuming that it just needs to be popped back in place instead of a whole new lens)
If it's still under warranty you might be able to send it in and get it fixed for free. If not, you should still check with the manufacturer and see how much it will cost to have them fix it, you can probably find out the standard price on their website. It might be easier to just take it into a camera store, such as Ritz, where you can probably have someone take a look at it for free and then give you an estimate on how much it'll be to fix it.
