Sony DCRSR47R 60GB – A Superb All-in-One Handycam
I love looking at old photos and videos and thinking about those fun-filled days. I had used my digital camera all along for capturing photos as well as for recording videos. But I wasn’t able to save all my videos as my camera had only a limited storage capacity. So I decided to get myself a digital handycam that will let me store as many videos as I want. I obviously wanted to get one with state-of-the-art technology and after hunting around for weeks, I finally settled for the Sony DCRSR47R 60 GB HDD Hybrid Handycam.
These Sony HDD camcorders come with a 60 GB hard drive to put all my concerns about storage to rest. In the LP (Long Play) mode I can record and store an amazing 45 hours of video footage whereas, in the HQ (High Quality) mode, I can record and store up to 15 hours.
Another benefit of owning this Sony digital handycam is that you no longer have to worry about losing videos and images recorded by you. Even if you drop the camcorder (accidentally, of course), you can fall back on the “HDD Smart Protection” technology.
You can expect truly impressive images and videos as the Sony DCRSR47R 60 GB HDD Hybrid Handycam features a 1/8"Advanced HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode) CCD imager with a 410K pixel resolution. The Sony DCRSR47R 60GB HDD Hybrid Handycam also features a special Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with SteadyShot image stabilization. This greatly reduces any blur caused by camera shake.
These Sony HDD Camcorders feature a 2.7" wide touch panel LCD display with 123K pixel resolution for excellent viewing clarity. Accessing the menus also becomes easier with this touch panel.
Having used it for a month, I can say without a doubt that the Sony DCRSR47R 60GB HDD Hybrid Handycam is a very good choice for anyone looking for a high-quality digital handycam.

I want to ask about a problem I encountered while using sony dvd-r disc and the dvd handycam?
I have a mini dvd-r disc that contains a family trip recording. I can play it in the handycam, but I haven't been able to "finalized" the disc.
FYI, the "finalized" is a process to make the disc readable by dvd drive
Therefore, I haven't been able to access the disc from my computer, and I can't even copy the files.
Any idea about what's happening and what to do? Thanks
Why haven't you been able to finalise the disk - does it fail when you try, or isn't finalising available as an option? What options did you use to initialise the disk (assuming you were given any)?
DVD camcorders aren't very reliable - you may have to use software like IsoBuster to recover your footage.
