How can I fix my camera when it says 'Card Error' when I put in the memory card?

Well, first off, my camera is a Samsung i6. I had this type of memory card first:

The one that says: SD (HC) Secure Digital Card.
Then my camera froze on me one day, so I shut it off. When I turned it back on, it didn't have anymore of my photos.
So then I thought it simply erased everything. This happened before, so I didn't worry about it too much. Then I use my camera and I take 13 pictures and it says, Memory Full.
I thought that the problem was with my memory card. So I went and bought a new one. This time it looked like this:

Exactly the same size and all, but just more space.
When I put it inside the camera though, it says "Card Error!"

So, what am I supposed to do?
Any information would be great! Thank you, in advance!

Did you try using a SD card instead of SDHC card ?
