Eyebrow Waxing

Waxing your eyebrows is a method that can be adjusted to fit your time and budget. Once you have made perfectly sure that you know where you need to apply the wax then you can start by applying a light layer of wax with the spatula, make sure that you apply it in the same direction as the hair growth and always start with the area under the eye first. Gently press the muslin fabric strips along the layer of wax, pressing it into place and stroke along the strip in the direction of the hairs in order to flatten them into the wax. Once the wax is applied it should be left for a few minutes or until the wax has begun to harden.

Once the wax is set you can remove the strips along with the hair. This need to be done by pulling the strip sharply against the growth of the hair and a swift quick movement is best so that you encounter the least amount of pain. The final points to remember when you decide to wax eyebrows it to never wax above the brow line, all the shaping should happen beneath the brow and never remove too much at a time, take little bits off slowly so that you avoid making any unwanted mistakes.

Finally, there are many soothing balms and creams available, most good waxing kits will already contain one, which you should apply after waxing so that the skin is kept clean and soothed after the waxing is complete.

How to get rid of a pre-stamped embroidery design off of muslin fabric?

I've got a little pre-stamped crewel embroidery kit of some butterflies and flowers, it's quite cute, except I don't like the saying it has stamped into the pattern at the top. I was planning on embroidering my own saying, until I realized the design was pre-stamped.

Is it possible to get rid of the pre-stamped design with any household cleaners that will not destroy cream-colored muslin or the floss? Or will I just have to make my saying big enough to hide the pre-stamped letters?

Check your instructions to see if it states the design is water soluble.

You could stitch the design you want and then with a damp cloth try to remove the letters you want to change. Or just wash the whole project once the stitching is complete then add your new saying..
